Bouygues Concepts

The work displayed here is pitch winning work for Bouygues UK. Tasked with producing a suite of three brochures the client had asked for a ‘big idea’ that would sell the Bouygues UK proposition of ‘better’ in a creative, elegant and sophisticated approach.

Bouygues UK are true innovators in the way they construct buildings, adopting many radical approaches and developing new building techniques. Everything they create carries the essence of their ‘better’ approach, ‘Shaping a better life’ for everyone.

I opted to bring the Bouygues marque to life in a dramatic, exciting, engaging and playful way and to try and show how their essence was ever present in not only the buildings they create but also in the lives of people who live, work and play in them.

Route one showed the shape as an integral part of peoples environments, as a sofa, desk or as a piece of construction material, while route two captured the essence of the Bouygues UK as travels through the different environments. Both routes would of lent themselves beautifully to video. 

‘Better’ would also provide the basis for a copy and messaging platform that could be extended across all communications areas and within each given topic.

The pitch was successful but sadly the clients appetite for a creative concept that captured the ‘better’ effect lessoned and instead they opted for a more generic approach of project photography and metallic print finishes.
